Amelia grew up dancing; training competitively in studio, school, and concert settings. Her style is a mix of her diverse training: ballet technique in Singapore at City Ballet and Cheng Ballet, street jazz and contemporary at Singapore O’School, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, Russian ballet and modern styles in Chicago at Denise Sabala Dance Studio, and Bay Area experience at Santa Clara University.

Amelia began her dance career as a decorated dancer with awards in jazz, musical theater and contemporary. She then found a love for teaching and has experience working with all ages; teaching kindergarten through middle school at Luther Burbank Middle School, teens at several studios and high schools, and teens-adults at The Dance Affair. A graduate of Santa Clara University, proud teacher at The Dance Affair, and choreographer for high school dance teams, Amelia has found a passion in teaching, creating, and utilizing dance as a way to tell impactful stories.
